Songs of the Earth

Within our modern, busy lives how often do we stop and literally smell the roses? We are bombarded with input from varied sources technological, buy this, try that, go there and often don’t even talk to one another. We selfishly rush headlong with minimal regard of the impact we are having on our surroundings. Stop and think how it would feel if we were to listen to the messages of the First People: Listen to nature; we are all connected to the Earth; live in harmony with our surroundings; respect the power of nature. Hal Eastburn’s “Songs of the Earth” highlights these messages and encourages us to open our eyes and hearts to the natural world.

We have one habitable planet, let’s not destroy it. Join the North Coast Chorale in a very special presentation of these songs as well as other works celebrating nature. Our spring concert will be held on Friday May 17th and Sunday May 19th at the PAC. This performance is brought to you by Lum’s Auto Center, your local Toyota dealer, and supported by the Oregon Arts Commission.
