Safety While Singing

In these challenging times…  Let us talk about some good challenges: like learning new music, like learning new singing skills, like learning to be quiet when the Director is talking.  These are not challenges that create fear or anxiety; they are ones that create growth, inner peace, and an appreciation of what music does for the well-being of our souls.

North Coast Chorale understands the importance of safety first, always and in every action.  NCC also understands the importance of Safety While Singing.  With safety in mind, the Chorale has decided to resume sectional rehearsals in small groups, in an outside venue very soon.  In accordance with mandates by the Governor and various other safety guidelines, face coverings will be required and social distancing, in excess of the recommended six feet, will be strictly enforced.

Rehearsals will be limited to an hour and a half, with each singer bringing his/her own chair, bottled water, and music.  Temperatures will be taken of anyone entering the practice area and hand sanitizers will be available in various locations to ensure maximum safety precautions.

Much of the music will be from the “30 for 30” concert, which was cancelled earlier this Spring.  Perhaps you would like to join the Chorale.  Please contact Denise Reed at 503-338-8403 or cantorey47@comcast.net .

Let us sing and make not only our hearts happy, but also all those future listeners who will once again delight in the music of North Coast Chorale singers.
