The North Coast Chorale welcomed all to join them for free performances of Gabriel Faure’s “Requiem”. The first performance was Friday, April 1, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. at the Seaside Methodist Church, 241 North Holladay Drive. The second was Friday, April 8, 2011 at the Peace Lutheran Church in Astoria, 12th and Exchange Streets.
These performances were in honor of all who have lost their lives this past year through violence, war or disaster. Donations were accepted and the money will be donated to the Women’s Resource Center.
With Will Caplinger and Brier Gregory as soloists, Jeffrey Reynolds on violin, Debbie Loyd as accompanist, and Denise Reed as director, the concerts were serene, beautiful and moving.
